Ms. Mamino Yorita is a shakuhachi player who has been with us at Ensemble Levent since the very first event.

She has been with us since the first “ONE” CONCERT ~FUEIRO~ in 2019, which was held with a grant from Minato Ward, and this sixth event marks the end of the grant period, marking a turning point for us.

When the project was first planned, both were considered young, but now they are among the leading shakuhachi players in Japan, and are literally active all over the world.

The piece to be performed this time will be “Tsuru no Sugomori,” which will be performed for the first time since the first performance.

This particularly famous piece among the many shakuhachi pieces is a masterpiece and extremely difficult piece to play, depicting the life of a crane using only the shakuhachi.

Please enjoy the beautiful and sorrowful sound of the shakuhachi by Mamino Yorita, one of Japan’s leading musicians.

Simply “Fun!” Concerts

2025. New Year. I wish you all a happy and joyful New Year.

From the refreshing solos of tuba player Shiba Kosuke’s “Czardas” and saxophone player Yamasaki Yuka’s “Libertango” to a powerful performance by 13 people.

A “colorful” concert that is pleasing to the ears as well as the eyes.

We promise that everyone who attends will leave with a warm feeling and a smile on their face.

Four of the six sessions of this project, “Fueiro(flute’s color),” were held at the Nohgakudo [Tessenkai Nohgaku Training Center ]in Minato Ward.

Listening to the Western sounds in the Noh theater was surely a fresh sound and sight for both us performers and the audience.

To build momentum for the upcoming performances, we will be uploading footage of past performances to YouTube, so please enjoy those as well.

Children of any age can attend this concert as long as they are able to quietly watch the performance.

We also have a “daycare center” for families with small children who normally find it difficult to attend a full-scale concert, so please feel free to make use of it. (First come, first served, advance registration required, 1,000 yen)
