“A festival” is coming to the Blue Rose on February 4th, the day after Setsubun.

With “eastern and western flutes” such as shakuhachi and flute, Japanese drums and “Kotobuki-jishi (lion dance)” as guests, it is an authentic concert where one can feel the “Japanese heart” which we hope to convey to not only adults but also children.

In past performances, we received many positive reviews from audience members with children such as “I was very happy that I could let my child hear real music!”

An energetic time presented by the professional winds and percussion ensemble group Ensemble Levent organized by members belonging to Tokyo orchestras, etc. together with guests. We look forward to seeing you there.

Performs’ profiles:Ensemble Levent Wind Quintet
Wind quintet by a winds and percussion ensemble founded in 2014 by graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts including talented members belonging to professional orchestras, etc. in Tokyo. In the past, there have been four Noh Theatre performances with Mamino Yorita, shakuhachi player, held as Minato City Cultural and Artistic Activities Support projects. Suggesting new possibilities in music, the performances have elicited favorable reviews.

Have been exposed to local festival music from early childhood.
Majored in traditional Japanese festival music (flute), Department of Traditional Japanese Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.
In the master’s degree program in the graduate school of the said University, studied festival music such as the Naga-uta and appeared in performances of Naga-uta and Nihon buyo while researching traditional Japanese festival music.

Chosen in 2014 as the best proposal of the “Geidai 21 8th ‘Sogakudo project intra-university open solicitation’” and planned, created and directed “Hakuto Inari Sairei Emaki,” a masked Kagura performance centering around local Japanese folk art such as the Sato Kagura and festival music.

In 2017, participated in the Juniza Kagura restoration project of the Katsushika Hachimangu Shrine enshrined in Ichiikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, and instructed on the restoration of musical pieces and dances.
In 2018, appeared musically in the Kagura scenes of the animation film “Waka Okami wa Shogakusei !”
Gave musical instrument instructions to Hana Sugisaki in the 2019 released film “Rakuen.”
On November 9, 2019, appeared in the performance of “Celebratory Performance ~O-dengaku~” in the “National Festival” celebration ceremony for the Emperor’s enthronement.

Musical performance appearances and musical instrument instructions in NHK’s period dramas “Kaze no To-orimichi,” “Zennin Nagaya,” “O-oku;” musical instrument instructions and musical performance appearances in the epic dramas “Gunshi Kanbe-e,” “Goh,” “Kirin ga kuru,” and “Dosuru Ieyasu” which is currently being aired. Furthermore, scheduled to give musical instrument instructions and make appearances in the epic drama “Hikaru kimi e” to be aired next year.
In addition to the foregoing, engaging in multifarious activities such as various performance activities and teaching “shinobue.”



Shakuhachi|Mamino Yorita (Kinko-ryu shakuhachi grand master)
Born in Kyoto City. Graduated from Japanese music department, faculty of music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Started playing shakuhachi at age 8. Licensed as Kinko-ryu grand master at age 16, youngest ever in Japan. Recipient of the 3rd Kyoto Private School Advancement Award, Aoyama Music Award Newcomer Prize, 2019 Kyoto City Arts Newcomer Award and 2022 Kyoto Urban Prefecture Cultural Award Encouragement Prize. Performed the theme music of the open world RPG “Genshin Image.” Participated in the performance by Min Tanaka, “’Feelings of Sound and Feelings of Dance’ – Dance Heard and Music Seen.” Heretofore, has studied with Yoshinobu Taniguchi, Reibo Aoki II, Katsuya Yokoyama and Hoan Kojima XLI of Myoan-ryu. As the only performer to carry on the Koden shakuhachi tradition, she strives for the dissemination of shakuhachi.


Japanese drums|Masaharu Nagano (Born in Ehime Prefecture. Percussionist)
“Second place (no first prize awarded) in the snare drum category,” Italy Percussion Competition. Awarded “the 12th Contemporary Music Competition〝Kyogaku〟Jury’s Special Encouragement Prize.” As a Japanese drum performer, participated in the European tour of Eitetsu Hayashi’s Fu-un no Kai, performing Japanese drum as soloist in 12 locations including the Large Festival House, Music Association and Berliner Philharmonie. In recent years, putting efforts into creative activities.
